Blind Technique is committed to bringing you the very best value for money, and will therefore guarantee our products as you would expect from any major purchase.

Please note that our guarantees are not insurance backed.
Conservatory Blinds are guaranteed for 3 years from the date of installation in respect of defective workmanship and materials, but no further or otherwise and such an indemnity shall be subject to normal maintenance and recommended usage by the customer following our guidelines for taking care of conservatory blinds, see below.

Awnings are guaranteed for 3 years from the date of installation in respect of defective workmanship and materials, but no further or otherwise and such an indemnity shall be subject to normal maintenance and recommended usage by the customer. Awnings are designed for use during fair weather, not for during heavy rain, windy conditions or any other precipitation. Accordingly, awnings should be retracted fully during this kind of weather.

Plantation Shutters

S-Craft Shutters have a manufacturers guarantee of 3 years from the date of installation in respect of defective workmanship and materials, but no further or otherwise and such an indemnity shall be subject to normal maintenance and recommended usage by the customer. Shutters with a Paint Finish come with a 3-year limited warranty on colour fastness of paints. Stained shutters and MDF shutters have a 3-year limited warranty on colour fastness of stained products. Due to manufacturing, natural variations in colour, grain and texture in these products, we are not able to guarantee exact matches to samples, nor are we able to guarantee exact matches on subsequent orders. S-Craft Shutters are subject to the conditions of the S-Craft guarantee, full details of which can be found on their website.

Faux-wood Shutters from Luxaflex have a 10 year guarantee from the date of installation and are subject to the conditions of the Luxaflex guarantee, full details of which can be found on their website.

Window Blinds are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of installation in respect of defective workmanship and materials, but no further or otherwise and such an indemnity shall be subject to normal maintenance and recommended usage by the customer.

Motorised Blinds.The guarantee is dependent on the manufacturer of the motor. The majority of Somfy motors are guaranteed for 3 years from the date of installation, and these Somfy motors will be subject to the conditions of the Somfy Guarantee which can be found in full on their website. Louvolite motors are guaranteed for a period of 1 year.

Perfect Fit Blinds.The guarantee is for 1 year as per window blinds. Please see additional information here from the supplier of this system. In conjunction with this, we recommend that you do not keep close fitting black out fabrics fully closed in full direct sunlight unless necessary.

All Products

Any resale or other transfer of the product and/or materials voids this warranty.

This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other obligations, liabilities or warranties. In no event shall Products be liable for incidental or consequential damages, or for any expense associated with such damages. Repair or remakes of defective products is the sole remedy under this warranty and in no event shall Blind Technique be liable for costs to remove and/or reinstall a product that they have not originally fitted.

This warranty does not cover any condition of or damage to the product or window, from unauthorized repairs, accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, act of God, motorised devices, wear and tear or failure to follow our instructions with respect to measurement, installations, cleaning or maintenance. Improper, inappropriate or unauthorized replacement parts, repairs or maintenance voids this warranty. All other warranties, both express and implied, are expressly disclaimed. This warranty excludes all liability for consequential or incidental damages for any cause whatsoever.

During the intial 12 months the guarantee is fully inclusive, and from then on there is a nominal call out charge per service required.
