Christmas is nearly upon us, and if you are looking to get your house looking like a Winter wonderland before your family arrive on Christmas day, then there are some small changes you can make around your home. Most people stop at the Christmas tree and outside lighting, but why not take it a little bit further and dress up your windowsill as well? Here are some quick festive tips to really take your Christmas spirit up a notch this year.
Stained Glass Stickers:
Stained glass stickers are the perfect temporary solution to making your home look more festive. You can decorate your windows with anything from the nativity scene to single snowflakes. This is a great way to get your family involved with the festivities, as you can all have a go at applying the stained glass stickers to your windows. They look beautiful from the inside of your house and outside for your neighbours, so it’s really a win win!
Everybody has tree ornaments, so why not take it a step further and get some ornaments for your windowsill as well? If you don’t like the idea of sticking things to your windows, then this is the perfect solution for you. You could get anything from a snowman, to a miniature Christmas tree. As well as this, you will be able to find Christmas windowsill garlands, which cover the entirety of your windowsill with fake Christmas tree branches, or even some tinsel. Your windowsill is a blank canvas waiting to be decorated.
Keeping it Simple:
If you want to keep it classy or simple, why not add a simple wreath outside on the front of your window. This will give your home a much more traditional feel and it also means that there are less inside decorations to take down in January. Decorating your windowsill should be about personal preference, just remember to have fun whilst you are doing it.
